What to do with Fox carcasses?

FW Cobbledick in Cornwall took them in winter (only) from us when skinned and salted and posted off. Some of the keepers were getting £30 for good non rubbed pelts just before the shortest day in colder years.

Not my favourite lunch hour task, but £20 was worth something when the Landy took four star at 29p per gallon!

For several years, I made a living from fox skins. I just stretched and pinned them on boards and let them air dry. Most down this part of the world sent them to Cobbledick, but I sent all of mine to Horace Friend in Wisbech. He was completely honest, and paid very good money for winter skins.
