Most (not all) of that family don’t adhere to what most people view as being normal and decent.
My guess would be that you are correct, ‘the establishment’ gets freedom even if guilty.

Well , now that Epstein conveniently " commited " suicide, there will be a lot of high profile individuals that walk away with no consequences . The Prince doesn't look to good , but compared to the amount of time Bill Clinton , and others , spent with Epstein , he looks like a choir boy . This will just quietly fade away I'm afraid .

He daren't go to America and say he's innocent, he's hiding behind his mum.
My American friends are saying he's called "Prince Pedo" over there now.
Whatever he did or didn't do he's damaged his reputation and he's going to carry on damaging the reputation of anything he's associated with so he should give it up and disappear.

Well, in my case when I naturalized as a U.S. Citizen in 2019 I renounced all “prior allegiance to any prince or potentate”.

‘Corse HMG still consider me one of Her Majesty’s ‘umble servants so perhaps you have a point….
