What's the best chronograph

I am sure the MagntoSpeed is absolutely 100% spot on because Gary would not be importing it if this was not the case. I have personally plinked two chronographs in my time due to running high magnification 'scopes which meant I physically did not see the chrono, weak excuse but I am sticking to it... The SC shows up as yellow blur even at 50x magnification plus with the greater sensing range I can stick the SC on the deck and in theory never shoot it. Downside is it lacks a remote control unit however it fits easily in my range bag or jacket pocket and I have a 3.5m length of paracord attached which both allows me to very accurately measure from the muzzle to the chrono, plus haul it back in when I have finished using it without having to walk forward of the FP.

I like the idea of the MagnetoSpeed attaching to the barrel even if it did make me wonder what it would do to the harmonics however people tell me it has very little effect. My preference is the SuperChrono.

Ovenpaa what dist are you setting your super chrono out at from muzzle ? and what height ? one thing you do have make sure is that the bullet flys parallel with chrono any slight angle can give false readings.

Hi Mick, the manufacturers say it the distance from the muzzle must greater than the distance above the muzzle. 3m seems like a good distance as I always used to work to the ten feet suggested by the American Chrono suppliers and it means I can compare my existing data however the Superchrono manufacturers say you can set the Chrono as close as 25cm/10" in the documentation.
