Which is the best digi scope

Thank you. Presume changing from fixed to centre doesn't change zero / POI?

Also, what does centre and fixed reticle actually mean - I couldn't find a description anywhere?

No POI remains the same.
If you select fixed, the reticle stays in the same position throughout the zoom, so if its low and right it will stay there.
Centre reticle is just that, once you zoom, the reticle automatically shifts to the dead centre of the screen throughout the zoom.

You have the zoom set to continuous, leave it at that.
If you go into settings and you will find the centre or fixed reticle option.
If you choose centre and come back out of the menu your scope will zoom from 3.5 to 7.5 and then up in single increments.
I've got continuous and centred selected and zoom now goes 3.5, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 etc with each click of the turret (jumps to 7.0 with first click and then goes in 0.1 increments).
With multiple and centred selected zoom goes 3.5, 7.0, 14.0, 28.0.

Option A is too fine and Option B is too coarse! Is there a way of getting it to do a whole number with each click rather than 0.1 per click (so it goes 3.5, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, 10.0 etc)?

Hi mate.

At the fear of sounding like @FoxHunter - the alpex really is brilliant. Personally I'm finding it really easy to use, far more intuitive (think that's right word for it). I haven't read the instructions but where I think the right button should be, it is! The menu system, using 'elevation' turret is really easy & common sense (especially compared to pard008).

I've only used dark engine blade so far & it's spot on. Flood it gives enough illumination to see target & surrounding (I don't use base much, starting on x7). I'm going to try my old MK1 srx one night this week. Was out Saturday just gone and despite no shots, saw lots of deer, woodcock, hares & of course sheep - could have shot any of them past 200yd with absolutely no IR. I couldn't believe my eyes the image just by moonlight.

I've not really use it much in daylight apart from to zero which was easy at 100yd. It's not glass. Even my cheaper glass gives finer detail in day.

The weight isn't as much of an issue as I thought it would be, but you can definitely feel it on rifle. Bit lighter would be nice.

My only slight complaint would be it jumps from base to x7 with nothing in-between, but then from 7 onwards you can either have it jump in blocks or go up .1 each click.

I've not done any recording. Never think to tbh. Can film some bits this week - might have to read instructions for that bit!!

I'd be happy to pop round yours in NY mate & you have a look yourself.

🤟
Hi there.
Like you I wasn’t worried about recording anything so I didn’t think I had!
However mine must have come with the auto record turned on….
So if you connect it to your phone you may have a little surprise already

Also if you have a chance to try it with your original srx I would love to hear the outcome, as that is what I have on mine an would be interested to hear if it’s still up to scratch?

Sounds like you are running the old firmware, you need to connect to the app and install the latest version.

The internal battery has an up to 11 hrs life according to the specs. I've been out 2 nights before without having to charge the scope so wouldn't worry about battery life.
Mine doesn’t last a full night on standby, needs a battery in around 4-5am,average 3 to 5 shots,on shoot off then on the charger most of the next day so not locked away, while I’m there obviously

Mine takes 14 seconds of footage of ever shot I take.
Only found out after altering settings..

Thanks chaps - latest firmware now updated and I get the 7.5, 8.5, 9.5x etc so much better. I also found mine has been auto-recording shots!

On the battery life, I'm not sure I have been shutting mine down properly as it was fully charged (internal and external) yesterday and went to turn it on this morning to do the update and totally flat. Thankfully I was only in the house and not in the middle of a wood about to try and shoot something! Although I usually have a spare external battery in the gunslip so wouldn't have been the end of the world but lesson learnt (rather than a fault hopefully) - make sure it fully counts down and shuts-down properly when turning it off!

Yep I always make sure I see the countdown on screen when shutting down.
