Which Smock [Or] Another Smock thread!

Been using a Country Covers smock for last few months without issue.
What colour is it? I've just sent mine back for the forth time! Can't walk 50 yards without being soaked with sweat, doesn't breath at all, it's in the Swedish camo, which Oliver recons has a coating on it, I've a couple of mates who have them in plain green and like them, I'm not happy at all, could've spent half the amount on a ridgeline if I'd wanted a sweat suit.

sorry matey it's the green one. Wore it last week culling some stags and it was great. I sweat easily anyway but can't say that I found I was sweating any more than normal.

There's been a couple of comments on Paramo;
I was a big fan but I did a few days on the Pennine way and it let me down badly. So badly in fact that if it hadn't been for the Snugpak pile smock underneath it could have been dangerous. It was winter at the time and there was snow on the ground. I was camping/backpacking so there was nowhere to dry out anything. The coat was a cover at best and was far below what I had come to expect of it.

Two points have come out of my ownership of Paramo;
1/ This product is useless when it is subjected to pressure! so when you want to rest on your elbows on wet grass etc.to use the bins on the ground in front they will become wet.
2/ Re-proofing is an absolute must and without will definitely be the worst thing you have ever worn in the rain.

Otherwise its a great product with some good design features but I've lost confidence in mine.

For reasons I won't trouble you with I have 2 Velez Adventure Smocks in fire & pepper. Neither exhibit water repellency leaving me drenched after but a shower and I maintain if I had one in "moss" for use in the wood it would be torn to ribbons in short order.

As stated I really did rate their Mountain Pull-On mid layer range that has just been withdrawn.
