Who in the North East for Chamber Reaming

Hey folks. I’m trying to choose someone to team a K-Hornet for me. Spoken to Steve Kershaw as he’s fairly close and he screw cut my deer rifle around 15 years ago and his work is excellent. Just looking for a price comparison with one or two others.

Grateful for any experience / recommendations.

Just recently I took a rifle to Brian Wilson in Cleadon to get the thread removed and recut and also a new crown, he did a cracking job for a very reasonable price. He even re-blued the end of the barrel where it was badly worn for no extra.

Brian Wilson of Horner Wilson Gunsmith in Cleadon. Have personally used him on several occasions and recommended him to many others who have all been very pleased with his work.

For anyone who comes after and finds this thread. Alan Maughan is no longer doing rifles. Contacted him this morning and he got straight back to me.

Steve Kershaw did it for me. Turned it round in very short order. Reamed, rebuilt and test fired. Was unable to find anyone else that was interested really.
