Winchester xsp or hatsan

If you’re interested in the Hatsan it would be worth looking at the Holts sealed bid auctions when they come up. Last time they had several in there, some brand new, which were very cheap. I handled one, along with other S/A’s, but in the end went with a O/U for knocking about with.

What would be the best choice Winchester sxp or a hatsan pump
Thoughts please
Neither Benneli or Mosberg are way better pumps . I sold my Benneli a while back as it really didn't just fit me right but Actions are brilliant ! Mossberg pump of some real vintage and the action is smooth as it comes ,its a pretty old one as in older than 50 plus years at least i guess . The new Mosbergs unfortunately are penny pinched but way ahead of the SXP and Hatsan
Do take a look at look on the second hand market , I only managed to get about £250 for mine ( but i have way too many shotguns and thats how the SH pumps stand with all the new ones made cheap n Nasty

Has it got to be a pump?

I looked at Hatsans, Winchesters etc. last year when I was looking for a s/a for wildfowling. I went with an ATA in the end and it has never let me down; build quality feels noticeably better than the others.

I have a browning and a moruku just fancied something different
Will also look at the mossberg

I bought a Hatsan brand new last year and returned it next day , impossible to pull the trigger.

I would add the Franchi Affinity ti the list. They are a semi rather than a pump, but they have adjustable stocks, handle well, soak up recoil of heavy cartridges and don’t cost silly money.

Benelli Novas are also good guns. Quite heavy though. Had one, liked it but didn't fit so couldn’t hit a thing with it. Changed it for the Affinity - it just shoots where I look and is totally reliable.
