Zoli Taiga?

Hi all,

I have recently been granted a .308 put on my FAC and have since found a nice looking Zoli Taiga on GunTrader. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this rifle and whether they would recommend it as an all-round deer stalking rifle? Otherwise, are there better quality rifles to purchase around the £1k mark, such as the Tika T3X Hunter? I must admit, Zoli is a manufacturer I have not heard much about. Apologies if this has been covered before, I had a quick search on the forum and could not find much on the Taiga.

Thanks,
Sam

Don't know much about Zoli, but know a few stalkers who have an old Parker Hale and taken plenty of deer. The kit doesn't have to cost £1k as I go stalking with a .243+mod+scope which was around £225. I might not be able to take a shot on the last 10 mins on the beginning or end of the stalk but its a risk I am willing to accept in exchange of having to spent £1k. There will always be another day for another deer.

The review from Shooting UK could be of interest, unless already seen.

People are to effected by advertising from large companies that they must have the latest and most modern scopes and rifles
to be able to hunt. ( twaddle ) all you need is a sound accurate secondhand reliable rifle, a good 4 or 6 x scope, or a 3x9 x 36 variable.
with that light well balanced outfit you can hunt anything at any sensible range. not gong distances.
After all we are not joining a sniper core are we.
