Very interesting phone call last night.
Guy couldn't find 2 out of the 3 deer he had shot.
Explained reaction to shot and also very good blood trail.
Animals were shot in a very wet area.
Had used thermal and couldn't find anywhere.
Told him I'd be up with dog today, however,I was 100% the animals were there dead,as was he.
Said to him,try your own dog,dog before thermal..........
Animals found within 100m,both of them.
Thermal has its uses, doesn't beat the dog when looking for animals that are dead.
Glad the guy got his beasts.

He'd tried looking with thermal for an hour, dog was back at home,I said to him to get his dog and look, depending on what he found at shot site,go in or look in morning. He phoned you before trying to find them with his own dog? Is that usual?
