DIY annealing machine

A suggestion, make the loading ramp out of angle or bend a bit of metal. - It'd be less likely to catch fire than the wood.
Other than that it looks fine.
Autofeed from a hopper is fine, but costs more to make & timing of the feed rotation is needed. Plus if it's auto there is a tendency for you to leave it whilst it's running with safety issues.
Plus the important bit, is that the annealing of each case is as good, repeatable and simple to operate as any more complicated machine --- Just watch your loading hand position as it is in line with the flame!

I know this is an old thread but has anyone else given this a go?
I need to make some 7x57 brass. Have a load of 30,06 that I need to reform and this looks interesting.

Nice !..... I made the exact same machine several years ago but using a metal casing which was a pain to source. Worked a treat though :thumb:

As above, old thread but if anyone sees it again they are easy to make.

I made a similar model a few years ago. Simple easy to use and great for low use reloading.
Moved on due to now reloading many more cases and multiple calibres

Bought the Ugly annealer, not significantly better but handles much larger qualities and most calibres.

If I was only using one calibre and less than a couple of hundred rounds a year, this style of diy annealer would still be the one I would be using (passed mine onto a mate who stalks and wanted to start reloading, he still uses it and is very happy).
