BASC opposes new proposals for medical fees

To be fair, taking legal advice and getting an answer are often a long way apart. I worked with and for lawyers for over thirty years and the only hurrying they did was when they had forgotten to ask for something to be done and they needed me to do it for use in court the next day. Delays may well be beyond the control of BASC.

Do they deserve their membership on past performance ?
With a legal opinion (from anyone) we may see a retrenchment of the HO's position.
Long past time to say NO but saying it may make them think finally they cannot do as they like ???
I think inaction/complicity suggests you are right on both counts. As others have said pay the medical and buy insurance and you are there.
No evident influence from BASC should mean that they do not get a fee from members.

When the FEO started to get a bit fussy, just mentioning BASC membership usually slowed them up a bit, thinking it would be BASC paying for the legal representation for an appeal procedure. Not now, perhaps.
