Hunting Photos

This is a very emotive subject and divides opinion across the hunting and shooting community. When I was younger I would have been more radical in my defence of our sport and our right to show pictures with pride. The radical antis are never going to be persuaded that hunting is a good thing they will not wake up one day and fancy shooting a deer, in the same way as many on this form will never eye up a hazelnut and think that would make a great Sunday roast. We do need to try and manage/influence the general population by putting our sport in the best light possible with education around culling/management and driving game and venison sales. We are in danger of winning minor battles but losing the overal war. Just my opinion as a guy who shoots and stalks. We owe it to coming generations to win the war

In my teens i worked in an abattoir. People dont see how their meat is slaughtered in mass production because they have a choice. The same choice to whine about a dead deer while stuffing their faces with chicken nuggets of animals fed hormones and salt.

I don't even bother wasting my time on snowflakes.

It doesnt matter if you put up pics in context, with a fully documented report of your trip and the reasons for it, including how much it contributed to conservation

the Antis will simply steal the trophy pics and post them out of context, accompanied by their own anti everything message

so my opinion is do NOT post trophy pics anywhere online, the antis will find them and steal them

Anti or Antifa?

The minute governments start bending to the will of loud obnoxious minority protestors is the time to vote those people out. Donald Trump is the start of the backlash against unhinged leftists inflicting this world.

Donald Trump

Dont be fooled, once the 'hunting imagery ' is gone/banned the antis will photoshop to continue to push their agenda of no hunting period...I maintain,we should not pander to them!

Btw have a look at the crowd we are up against with their road kill victims. Photo`s like these are distasteful to me yet I dont write to the minister about them.

Just take it totally out of a hunting context and you'll see the common sense. You may well intend to post pictures on social media that are entirely meant only for a select group of individuals. Or even perhaps just one other person. But be aware, once posted, there's every potential that anyone could see and copy it, after which they can alter, photoshop and circulate to any amount of people.

As an example, perhaps some intimate shots taken of you and your nearest and dearest in a "private" moment. There's nothing wrong with such photos, but were they to get out into the public domain, there would be hell to pay, never mind the embarrassment factor. So it's never just a case of "It's legal, it's my right, so I'll do it".

It happened to a young one on the SD. George something or other, keen as keen could be. Travelled miles to shoot deer and one day when out with a guide shot a Red Stag. The impending photo found its way onto the net and into the hands of the anti`s.
Haven`t seen him on here since.

The RSPCA has become infiltrated with animal liberationists. When there was a call to allow public land hunting in West Australia the RSCPA WA was vehemently against it and started posting advertisements in the local newspaper. The issue was, firstly hare's are not found in Western Australia and secondly they had photoshopped the wound in the backside of the hare.

Okay, you so don't post stuff on social media because it maybe taken out of context by the "antis". Yet when they don't have any bloodied material they photoshop somebodies elses photo. Hare hunting = trophy hunting? WTF? You try to argue with an idiot they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
