This is a very emotive subject and divides opinion across the hunting and shooting community. When I was younger I would have been more radical in my defence of our sport and our right to show pictures with pride. The radical antis are never going to be persuaded that hunting is a good thing they will not wake up one day and fancy shooting a deer, in the same way as many on this form will never eye up a hazelnut and think that would make a great Sunday roast. We do need to try and manage/influence the general population by putting our sport in the best light possible with education around culling/management and driving game and venison sales. We are in danger of winning minor battles but losing the overal war. Just my opinion as a guy who shoots and stalks. We owe it to coming generations to win the war
