But! I'm not sure I see the point in either. Then you may as well use a rifle. It comes back to the fact that people hunt for different reasons and those that hunt with a bow probably do it because they enjoy bow hunting, as many people on here enjoy stalking with a rifle. As I have said I will never be a bow hunter, it's not for me, but neither are other aspects of hunting that others take part in, perfectly legally and perfectly justifiable.

I would imagine that would be quite a challenge to get close enough to use it.

All depends what sort of gear you have in mind and how much experience you have had ?
I’m going to go with a recurve bow, as that’s what I’ve shot in the past. I’d like to try out a Bear Archery - Supermag 48” as it has a good reputation. I don’t want to order one off internet without having tried it out.

Thats very short tip to tip! ,with a lot of finger pinch!!!!!! i'd think it'll be hard to find one here , most bows this side of the pond would be 60" tip to tip.what poundage have you in mind & what draw lenth are you

I was thinking about 50lb draw.
There is a specialist archery shop, with an indoor range, adjacent to the Loughborough Central Railway Station. That's the station on the old preserved Great Central Railway. I very infrequently buy paper animal targets there. 'Cos these guys aren't cheap. But I can take the train to get there. Which I do. LOL! Hope it helps. And, yes, they sell 3-D foam animals. And broadhead arrow tips.
