Quad bike and trailer insurance

Hi,

Having failed to convince NFU that deer management is an agricultural activity, can I ask who people are using for a stand alone insurance for a road legal, agriculturally registered quad bike and the trailer I use to transport it. The quad bike is going to be used for deer management.

Thanks in advance,

Siggy.

They really don't see crop-protection as an agricultural activity? Their loss, I guess.

Quad when in trailer is on car insurance, and quad done with bikesure.

As above - although Performance Direct were by far the most competitive for my Agri registered Honda 420 Fourtrax.

Best to ring any brokers - motorcycle specialists are usually best - and save yourself time and energy, as the websites often don’t list quad models on their drop down menus. ;)

Not impressed with NFU.

They wouldn't even insure my vintage tractor, unless I took out another policy for something else..

Their loss!

Performance direct for quad( Honda TRX 500 agri Reg) £260 TPFT) and insurance for the trailer on its own ( £60). Most car insurance does not cover trailers and content. I know this very well, because f@&king pickeys nicked my trailer and quad of the back of my motor and got nothing from my car insurance (axa) apart from sorry that’s not covered. I was fuming to say the lest

Thanks for the advice - I've also got at TRX 500 so it's a very useful benchmark.

I insure my agri registered quad through Bikesure, fully comp and cheaper than one above which is only TPFT. Suzuki 500 2016.

Had some ridiculous qoutes from Adrian Flux for a Subaru I used to own, so would not even bother with them. NFU are a joke as well.

I insure my Foreman with Longfield and find them decent
