Tim's visit to pakistan (another succesful swap hunt)

Dear friends,
as mentioned earlier, I had visited my friend Tim in new zealand in may 2010 and hunted Red stag, Elk, Tahr, Fallow and Bison with him, the deal was that i would swap a Sindh Ibex and a Blandford Urial sheep in pakistan for the above animals, so as promised Tim visited me last week and got his animals, some pictures for you all to enjoy. best regards.

Some outstanding specimens there, what is the situation with Bison in NZ? are they feral or as I suspect released on private hunting areas?

@bambislayer. the bison are not feral, they have been released on private hunting grounds but the area is so huge that they act pretty feral :-)

Piranpir,

If that is a straight swop hunt you did a great deal there. Absolutely magnificient animals, especially the quality of the NZ heads. I take it that the Sindh Ibex and a Blandford Urial sheep are normally very expensive to shoot?

Thats what I was thinking.

Either way looks like you both got some great beasts there.

You'd need to check with Piranpir, but those bl**dy kiwis are not unknown for breeding big game specimens for the trophy hunters!!

One PH told me they actually had a catalogue for their American clients to choose from.

To be fair, it is a business at that end of the market, and people need to make a living.
