Is your Swingblade of the first version or the newer version with a thinner blade ? If it's a newer model, my guess is that the sheath would then be too tight for an older model.

hello Paul it is actually the outdoor edge swingblade .The blade measurements are 1 inch wide by nearly 4 inch long if this helps
