Just upgraded to trade membership on the SD

Hi, you all know me on here as kimh, if not Hi, not sure how long I've been on here...

I haven't advertised on here as a trade member to date as I tried to keep the SD personal to me but in the current climate I'm receiving further enquires than normal to my business
In order that you know my services I have upgraded my status to trade membership

I am a firearm executor and my company was founded to answer the question 'What will happen to your guns if something happens to you' basically estate planning for the firearms owner
My wife asked me this question 8 years or so ago, my thoughts were that if one person had asked the question others may also so I set about doing something about it

WHAT WE DO

Our objective is to aid firearms owners to plan for the future and ensure that their loved ones are not left in a difficult situation.

Our services are separated into Packs, two different estate planning Packs are offered...

The Key Pack is the simplest and involves Artisan Rifles holding a second set of keys or a combination code for the licence holder’s cabinet. We will keep a list of people authorised to speak on behalf of the licence holder and in an emergency, we will facilitate access to secure the firearms.

The Wishes Pack includes the Key Pack, plus another option of a personal safe should you not want us to keep your keys. It also involves storage of detailed instructions on which to act upon when the licence holder dies. Our team will travel to the address provided and remove the guns, putting them in safe storage before acting out the deceased’s wishes - selling, putting out to auction, transferring to another certificate, or keeping them safe until a beneficiary comes of age. This package is bespoke according to the number of guns owned and the specific wishes of the client. Should the services cease to be required (e.g. the guns are sold) then part of the fee will be refunded.

Artisan Rifles also offer other services such as - gun storage, transport within the UK and have drivers who will take guns out to shoots. This can be a good option for people who shoot infrequently and either have nowhere to store their gun or don’t like having firearms in their house.

We currently have two offices, Gloucestershire and Aberdeenshire with two armouries in Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire with a growing UK network of associates

Really good idea. I had a good friend of mine who passed away while at work, the police came round to his hose to inform his wife and at the same time take his guns. It put further stress on a stressful situation.
I wish you all the best in your venture and its a refreshing change to see some positives in this current climate.

That is a good start as the truth of price is often a surprise to the beneficiary, who has access? to the firearms

What about trying to tie your package in to one of the shooting organisations (preferably SACS). It could go big very quickly.

We have contacted BASC, SACS, NRA and 39 police forces as well as many other institutions, it's a good job I don't need an income from this as the time and money spent over the years by myself and business partner, Oliver, is beyond comprehension but I'm stubborn and won't be beaten as I believe the service is required - if by raising the point and I make you think about it? I, in my opinion, have served to protect the use of firearms for the future generations in the UK

Ok Kimh howzabout a price,how much to store 10 rifles for 10 years until my beneficiary comes of age?

JP, UK only mucker, I do cover Ireland North and South, Wales and Scotland - should you of been in range for the 10 rifles it's a one-off fee of £620 for life and if you add or subtract a rifle you pay £42 or I return that amount if over the time you pass on your firearms I in the case of 10 rifles return to you £520 as I only take £45 at the start for admin and £55 if you cancel

Fortunate to have a family member who now has a 'mirror' FAC/SGC so they have a set. It was all about making it easier for my wife when I keel over.
Consequently there will be no rush for the family to have to legalise the firearms ownership (S7) and the family can retain or dispose of them in slow order.

That is actually a good shout.
Just had a quick look around the reloading shed. Dear Lord I have bought some s**t in my life!

An example: 577/450 brass can be £8 a throw: 100 rounds of that stuff to the uninformed can just look like so much junk - not to mention the dies.
Just starting to realise where all the money has gone.
