Poor barrel threading

If the threaded area is 1/2" in diameter get a flash suppressor lock washer for a M16 to keep the can from coming loose.

Seems it would be easier to just unscrew the threaded bridge of the mod and get a small relief cut into that to save on rfd fee and dare i say it need for re proof cost etc?

This is what I did as I had the same issue with a Tikka Tac A1 and the same Aimzonic Mod. Took the aluminium bush to a friend and had a relief cut put in it on his small lathe. Very quick, no messing with my rifle and solved the issue for that moderator at least.

cue the "mods should be proofed" crowd (including the UK proof houses)
beside, you would have to do that for every mod ever used on that rifle, easier to have the thread cut correctly in the first place

Exactly the same as this one delivered straight from Raytrade recently.

Really nifty little radius in the junction between the shoulder and thread also. Most moderators won’t have a hope in hell of mounting correctly to this.

Mark Crudgington used to be in Bath or there abouts - a good 'Smith in my opinion and experience.

If this is a new rifle then get them to sort it out, they specified the perso to do the work. I would be extremely upset if it was mine.

The rifles a few years old now. I didnt buy a mod to start with so didnt notice it.
Its not too much drama ive been wanting to shorten the barrel to 18" for a while and this has pushed me. I contacted neil mckillop and hes going to sort it out.
