Patterdale Terrier

Hahaha, the mother and pup bitch did kick off on one occasion over a bowl of grub, like a **** I put my hands in to grab and separate and quickly lost the majority of the tip of a finger. My GP who is a mate said you have either touched your chainsaw or one of the patterdales got you. All together they would want to kill anything with a leg on each corner but on their own they were good with other dogs UNLESS there was quarry in the truck or on the trailer. proper characters

Mates bitch had a litter of three pups a few years back, two turned into the most placid family pets, the other one (that he kept) would kill a horse !
Yep...

That’s about the size of it !

1 in three is a nutter

Teddy’s litter brother is the Nutter 🙄😩

You never referred to them as Patterdales back in the day. Showed your lack of lineage  if you called them a Patterdale.
Always a black fell to those in the know.
Last one I had I was given as she had a habit of killing other dogs she was kennelled with. Absolute liability but 100% above or below in work.
Mine was Buck/Breay lines, the other two dogs out of the litter were exactly the same, totally nuts.
I'll try and post some photos.
Death before dishonour.

Stevie Shotguns Blackdogs from Ammanford best as they come pal

I stand corrected. Proper term fell terriers. Just force of habit. Frank buck and Cyril Bray did a lot for the black terriers in the day

I've lost touch with a lot of the terrier men I used know. Proper terrier men not f....ing badger baiters like they were labelled. Anyway days gone bye

I do like the Patterdales, my lads have a Parson Russell which I also like, but boy he is head strong, but has a cracking nose, there was a Patt used to come beating on our shoot, nickname gnasher 😂 it was hilarious watching the undignified race between dog and quite elderly owner to get to a shot bird 😬

My first terrier was from Buck through Maurice Bells wensleydale hunt, buck also stood as an independent witness for the prosecution against my digging partner.. :-|

I still remember the day I picked her up. She came from a well known terrier man, Mr Riley. He said you'll have to watch this one, she'd escape from a locked garage:rolleyes:
