Delta titanium BT?

Hi everyone,

Has anyone bought the aftermarket ballistic turret to fit to the delta titanium scope range?
I have got the 2.5-15x56 model and it's a brilliant scope and am interested in having a scope I can dial with, buying this turret would be a much cheaper option and would also mean I can keep a scope I get on with. Any experience with this add on would be great, it look to be much like the swaro BT.
Thanks
Dave.

Can you not just use the turrets already in situ? I know they are capped and a bit pony but I have the higher mag 4-24x50 Tit HD and it seems to track ok using the little lift up turrets (which are the same as on yours I think)

Hi Dave it's similar to the swaro unit but not as well refined. Fitment and feel are very different. I have had a look at one as was considering it for my Delta but decided to go for a swaro instead. Cant fault the Deltas though, Great at lastnight and works very well with a pard if you decide to hang around for foxes.

Hi, I could use the ones already fitted but I do like the idea of having a zero stop facility to eliminate the chance of messing up my return to zero but I do see your point.

I would love to get a z6i BT to be honest but unfortunately funds just won't allow that any time soon, I do really like the delta for its low light performance and my other option would be to get something different with the money I could get for selling the delta but I genuinely don't think I will get glass close to the delta for that money, the nv ability is nice but if I could afford the swaro I would happily sacrifice the ability to use nv.
Thanks for the replies so far guys
Dave

Brought one this week. Fitting it tomorrow. Set it up on Monday. Will let you know how it goes. Looking forward to getting it working.

Have you compared the delta side by side to the Swarovski? Was there much between them? And how good was the delta with nv, eg how far could you shoot a fox?

Side by side the Swaros colour tone is a touch more realistic. With the Delta colours look like the saturation is turned up. Not a bad think as I usually tweak my computer display settings to have higher saturation and contrast. Edges looked sharper on the swaro. Didnt test them at last night next to one and other but I dont think there is much in it in terms of light gathering. Taken a few dear at last light with the Delta and could see very well. I have the Z8i 2.3-18 and yes I have added ballistic turrets for elevation and windage. The flip up covers front and back are excellent. But it's nearly £3k of scope and when you compare that to the Delta your getting a lot for £750.00. They should be priced at £1200 plus as they give the Zeiss a run for its money. Oh just so you know I did have a zeiss v6 before the Delta but the zeiss was not NV friendly so sold it and made the switch. Felt very comfortable doing that and despite not having a dial-able turret I felt at home with it straight away. The Deltas are Japanese optics and are world renowned and up there with the German and Austrian competitors.

Using the Delta with a Pard007 and Solaris SRX you can easily see to 500-600yards. Fox ID at 300-400. I can still use my swaro with the same NV setup. The issue is it isnt as clear as the Delta and that's mainly down to the fact you can only parallax down to 50m. I think the Delta goes down to 10-15m. Still I can see foxes at 200m and i dont tend to shoot beyond that anyway. Sold the Delta cheaply to a friend, well I thought he was a friend, anyway, I should have just kept it stuck a saddle mount on it and used it for foxing. Gives me an excuse now to go for a dedicated NV scope:)

I’ve a ZEISS V6 2-12x50 and the Delta 2.5-15 x 56 I’m now selling the ZEISS. The Delta is very good with a Pard 007 and whilst the ZEISS is a tad better at last light the Delta for the money is not that far behind. Great scope for the money.

I thought about getting one and for deer it's probably fine as you can set up 3-4 different distances rather than actual dialling. You could dial it for smaller targets or various distances if you counted clicks but it doesn't have the visual settings for easy real dialling and it's expensive too

How did you get on mate?
Fitted now. Set it up roughly yesterday. Bit of fine tuning and should be good to go. To be honest I’m sure it will be useful but is the unit really worth the cost to buy, jury’s out on that at the moment. £150.00 is a lot of money for the turret.

Thanks for the reply, hope it works well for you. If you don't mind could you let me know how you find its tracking and return to zero when you have hav a chance to play with it. I also think £150 is quite expensive for what it is but could be the cheapest solution for me to have a dialable scope without spending loads of money.

I will do. And likewise short of investing in a new scope, which I wasn’t going to do, it was the only option.
