Is anyone out there home loading the Barnes TTSX BT in 130 grain on a BLASER R8 .270 standard barrel.

I would be interested in your load and powder data and COAL also how far off the lands you are.

Thanks in advance.
Colin

Here is a load I used to run in my Blaser R8 .270 Win.:

Barnes 30264 TSX 130 grs.
COL: 3.250"
IMR 4350 54.0 grs.
Norma cases
FED 215

I'm afraid I have not noted down how far off the lands this was.

Thx. How did you find the grouping and which one did finally settle on. I’ll be referring back to the Barnes data to start. But I am told that you need to go back well of the lands for the Blaser action?

All the loads listed above are sub MOA. I don't bother taking notes of anything worse than that.
Blaser doesn't have particulary narrow throats, so I don't see why one should back off from the lands any further than with any other rifle.
Anyhow, I would start somewhere about 50 thou off. But it needs to fit in the Magazine. This is the limit for seating them longer if you want to use them form stalking.

Sorry not a .270, or Barnes, but I found my 30-06 Blaser worked great as you say 50 thou off the lands.
TBH everything shoots well out of a Blaser
Cheers
Richard
