Cheshire????

Hello lads i would like to attend a gathering just to put faces to name have you thought about the the kilton on the A50 as its near the M56 for any coming from wales or the windmill at the m6 junction 19

Mark

The Windmill at Tabley, a minute or so from the M6.... how did the last one get decided?

Depends on where/when but here are a few of my suggestions:

The Pheasant Inn, Higher Burwardsley
The Grosvenor Arms, Alford
Dysart Arms, Nr Tarporley
The Cross Foxes, Nr Wrexham (although technically just in Wales!)
The Cholmondeley Arms, Cholmondeley
The Bhurtpore Inn, Aston
The Combermere Arms, Burleydam
The Thatch, Faddiley

So many good pubs in this area, so much good beer, so much good food too...shame there isn't much deerstalking too!

Excellent taste Oly

Thanks Miff - it's hard not to have good food/drink taste around here!

You seem to have missed out my favourite ever pub though...take a look. If you haven't ever been to their beer fest...DO IT!! You should be able to get a train from Chester to Crewe and then to Wrenbury easy enough - as MANY people do! Or come and camp for free (although no facilities!)

The Bhurtpore Inn - beer - The beer bit
The Bhurtpore Inn - awards - The awards bit
The Bhurtpore Inn - news - The date for the diary!!

You may be aware - the middle three of your fave's are all owned by Brunning & Price - a small chain. Having tried them all I must admit my favourite is the Combermere at Burleydam...possibly worth a trip during one of the Bhurty Beer Fests as it's only a mile or two country lane walk away.

I can see this rapidly becoming just a Good Cheshire Beer thread!!!

If it's ale we are supping I can recommend the Thieves Neck (AKA Davenport Arms) in Woodford , however it's a bit out of the way for most folk I would think. Mines a pint of mild :) . The Roebuck is not far from Knutsford- maybe 3 miles. Nice pub and easy for people to get to off the M6/M56.

Oly, I will put those two pubs on my list to do next.
Looking forward to trying them.
Thanks.

Come on guys where and when?????

Hells Bells, we make this difficult for ourselves!!!

Right: The Roebuck pub (near Knutsford), 7.30-8ish meet, Tuesday the 8th of March.
Either you can make it or you can't.
Easy-peasy.
