My young understudy [grandson] is dying to see a live mink, I have cages anyone know where I can set them Skipton North Yorks area thanks.

A curious question.

Of course you will know that you may not set up traps without the landowners permission.

Then there are legalities as to the traps, and how you bait them.

Then you will know, that if you trap a mink, you must kill it. You may not release it.

Which might be an education for your grandson.

Unless you’ve got a water course on your own permission why bother, you can’t just set traps any old place you think there could be mink! Bear in mind traps have to be checked at least once every 24hr

I live next to the bank of the Nene, so over time have found where the permanent burrows are.
It's good to see them about, but it would be nicer to see the water voles back.:)
Chapter and verse here:-

Build some Mink rafts sandwich 50mm kingspan with ply, made several years ago with a live catchers ontop but build a tunnel to slide them into, rope it to a tree so it can go up and down with the flows of water I had mine on our Brooke, bait with cat food/ chocolate/ tuna I put a lot of hours in only caught two but two less. If you were closer to me I could of sorted something for you.
Good luck and be patient.
Bij
