Pulsar Axion XQ38 vs XM30S

Morning Folks,

I have an XM30S which I'm most happy with, just been looking at the Axion XW38 (new one) without LRF. Has anyone conducted a direct comparison and could tell me whether it's worth upgrading?

I've used a Helion 1 XQ 38 so wondered whether the new Axion is nearer that level of performance?

Thanks,
Rob

Used a helion XQ38 and a axion XQ38 last week for 3 days stalking the axion was better then the helion just about but the axion won on easier to use controls plus size and weight

I’ve had the helion xq38f and the axion xm30 (non s variant) and now have the axion xq38 lrf and I’m really pleased with it and well worth the money. Massive step up from the xm30 and just as good sensor wise and image wise as the Helion but smaller and easier to carry.
My opinion of course I’m sure others may disagree

I’m glad you have asked this as I am debating whether to buy the xm30s or pay the further £400 or 500 for the xq38. Interested to hear any reviews. If I’m not going to get much difference between the 2 models I will buy the xm30s and save the coin!

Cheers

Recently purchased the XM30S and it does all I need it to do to spots rabbits, it spots ones I failed to see with a pulsar 860vs digital spotter with additional IR torch mounted on it. Makes it very much quicker to scan a field, locate a rabbit and know what is or is not in the line of fire, then change to ATN 4K pro to confirm quarry etc.
It’s nice and light, fits into a pocket and turns on very quick.
should I have paid more and waited for the Axion XQ38, Picture quality may be then better but I am not using it to take the shot. Certainly no regrets in buying it.
