Ford Ranger lights

Evening all, looking to fit lights to the rear of the canopy, was wondering if anyone’s done this and recommendations for lights? It’s a Ford Ranger Limited 2020 thanks all.

I have one, dont know how it was done though. I would recommend led. The one I have has a switch on the back of it and there is also a on/off switch on the dash board which has a light on it to let you know its on. The led light is on a ball and socket lockable mount. I use it as an extra reverse light and a work light

On our pickup there a 12v cigaret socket in the left had wheel arch......Could you run a cable from there? What are you after work lights or reversing lights?

You can use the original light wiring that was mounted on the rear roll bar, I did this on my 2016 one. The wire should be at the front of the tub on the left hand side.

Mine has a cigarette lighter in the rear just wired into that with a switch and a strip of led.lights in rear

Hard wire it in if you have roof bars ! just take the wire down inside the leg then pick up power and earth from light cluster and fit a fused switch in the cab its an easy job and no wires to get hooked up or showing outside, the led strip lamps are better also place a small one under the tailgate it make for a better reversing as the lamp fitted are rubbish .

Not happy to tap into the 12v in the tub, I ran a stand-alone protected fused wire from the battery under the truck to the rear left corner of the tub. From there using a four way splitter, I wired up a boot alarm, 12v charging station, extra led light strip and two tailgate work lights.

All the bits on Amazon, for relative peanuts, just the time setting it all up. Well chuffed with it.

Got a load of spare bits from my install and if you want can send you a packet of bits FOC - fuse holders, switches, connectors, will check if I have any brackets left. etc.

Just pm me your address and will sort out tomorrow when back from what looks like another drizzly stalk.
