Leaving - days to go

To be honest , the chances of a global government ever existing are too small to even measure . As a matter of fact , if any entity ever tried to bring about one , we would instantly revert to the conditions you describe in the initial part of your post . It doesn't matter what your political ideology is , left or right , no one will tolerate being told what to do by an organization that they don't agree with , even within a single nation , that's what a civil war is . Try it on a global scale and you'd best prepare yourself for global scale casualties . I agree with the sentiment of your post , but I've seen the results of two civil wars between people of the same race and culture . My sanity flinches at the thought of what would happen if anyone tried what you describe .

Respectfully AB

Yeah, well, maybe we should try thinking outside the box, because time is of the essence, maybe a global government should accept differences, as we all need to. Peace & understanding are the key words. I hoped at the start of the millennium, for a higher state of consciousness, looking at the leaders of the powers that be, I see precious little of that. So collective thought may be the answer, lets sack them & move forward without them. :)

By your synopsis...... (that you have been sent)......you imply that the British government have no idea where they are at this moment, far from it !!

Before l go any further let me say l have no problems with remainers, apart from all the tossers outside Downing Street who constantly harangued any movement whatsoever, in my opinion making themselves look complete and utter anti democratic w@nkers.

If we all live in a democratic society and that democratic society have voted leave the EU we respect that decision, if it had gone the other way we would have respected that decision, but to constantly harp on that the British voters have made the wrong decision in my book is totally unacceptable.
What is it about a democratic vote that was by no means close, 1.7 million l seem to remember in favour of leaving that you can’t or won’t accept ?

l see from your avatar that you live in a most beautiful part of the world, and that the devolved government you live under wants total independence and to remain within the EU, it would be a very sad day if that happened, we as a nation are United but if it’s division you want l personally would let you have it but if your countrymen voted democratically ‘again‘ and want to remain in a United Kingdom......would you accept that decision ??

If your countrymen decided to leave the ‘United Kingdom‘ where does the money come from to support the infrastructure of an independent nation, would taxes have to rise ? and if your government have their way a lot of your economy (sporting) would be annihilated.
Could your nation afford, with independence, to join the EU l don’t think so, but go ahead go independent and try and rejoin the EU........good luck with that !!

My opinion is that your countrymen will vote against independence yet again, at this point will you accept that decision ? I don’t get the impression you will, or will it go to a best out of 3 out of 5 ??
These europhiles will never accept the democratic decision of the UK electorate. They will always have a reason to complain whether they are north or south of the border but thankfully, it doesn't matter a hoot what they think. As far as Scotland is concerned, I'd let them go their own way in a moment and cut all funding with immediate effect - subject to them paying their portion of the national debt first of course. Al MOD work and associated jobs to be transferred south of the border to benefit the rest of the UK. This is my opinion as an Oatcake Savage myself so writing this is not easy but ... I would far rather that we remain as a United Kingdom and intact. Hopefully, cool heads will prevail and the SNP will get their useless ars*ses booted next year.

I suspect we porridge wogs who see the benefit of the union are somewhat less visible electorally when it comes to the Scottish elections, but the linking of the current Nationalist political ineptitude with aspirations to self determination are quite distinctly different matters, as was demonstrated in 2014, when 28 ex 32 regional authority areas in Scotland voted to remain in the U.K. They know this of course, but do not respect the once in a generation vote, nor, by implication, the electorate.

You realise you come across as a complete psychopath?

While there are rational reasons to support various flavours of Brexit, arguing that we should embrace No Deal because it will harden us for the coming collapse of civilisation is pretty wacky.
You're still not with it are you?🤭
Anyway, thanks for your accolade, I haven't been called that since emptying a magazine at something trying to escape, many years ago.
Regarding Brexit what will be will be, but its certainly easy to get you going.😇

I may be wrong, but I sense that the absolute control the SNP are exerting over every aspect of life in Scotland (which they have consolidated during the Coronavirus restrictions) is beginning to smell bad and people are starting to notice, even moderate nationalists.

Er... no, I’m not. But I’m not really sure what ‘it’ is.

Maybe help me out and explain.
Read latter part of last paragraph.🤣
I just asked an old comrade about your accolade.
His answer was "Very true, why do you think we and the "Boss" gave you your Avatar name". Couldn't ask the old "Boss" because he died a while ago.
On that basis you are probably correct in your opinion.🤭

Poor old Boris is in way over his head with these negotiations, he tried contacting Merkel and Macron by phone yesterday and both requests were firmly rejected. The EU 27 are standing firmly together as one on this and when one considers the attitude of President Biden things are looking fairly grim for Boris's legacy.

No doubt he'll make some speech soon to complain about the nasty EU who won't give into his demands in an attempt to rally the troops but eventually (and it won't take long) he's going to be exposed as someone who was not in the least prepared for the consequences of a No Deal Brexit and a person not to be trusted when agreements are signed. He's going to be remembered as a man lacking in intelligence and integrity on a grand scale.

This has been dragging on for 4 years now and it's been like watching a car crash in slow motion, the end is nigh.

Such a shame the EU 27 have such short memories.....Vindictive as**oles the lot of them, just get rid. Not a club I want to be part of for sure.

I am sure China would live a global parliament!

The end has been Nigh for four years, what makes us so sure that it's over by Sunday roast? I would be happy if it actually were the case, either way.

Is Boris so unprepared that he has dispatched the Royal Navy to police our fishing waters........or could this be Boris being prepared for a definite no deal ?

Mercal and Macron........there’s an old saying that springs to mind and find very apt....... “all you get from a pig is a grunt” ! Oh that should have been plural......

Keep A Look Out........for the vast fleets of European fishing boats descending on your lrish fishing waters after all Ireland is part of the EU.........share and share alike......

This is in response to Fair Hill‘s post at #135
