Just what I thought. Bushwear have the same scope at £199.99, and reduced from £400 too, apparently. I know it's a discontinued line, but I've always heard good things about them. The only reservation I have is that it's a BDC reticule with 2nd FP, so holdovers will take a wee bit of thought at extended ranges. Having said that, it's to go on my woodland rifle (if I ever manage to find one I like), so extended ranges won't be a requirement

I'd ring them and ask if they have said scope in stock they have a been know to advertise stuff not stocked but in saying that it does look a good deal.

I think this refers to the magnification ratio, i.e. 3 times base mag, in the same way that other scope manufacturers base their various scope series as eg V4, Z5, Z6, etc.

Scope arrived earlier today. First thought was 'Wow! Less than a 24 hour turnaround the day before Christmas!'. Absolutely superb service straight off the bat!

As for the scope itself? Quality is absolutely spot-on at first glance. Made in the Philippines, so few concerns there. Scope feels solid, with a nicely-etched reticule and a nice positive feel to the Mag' adjustment. Glass is nicely finished, and the image is pretty bright and clear.

For the £130 I paid, it's an absolute bargain. And to be perfectly honest, even if I'd paid the full £400 retail price I wouldn't feel cheated. Front and rear clear covers included, and with a 30 year warranty!!!

ha ha got mine this morning wow SGC have really got there act together i remember back in the day buying a ssg rifle from them took six weeks to arrive. and agree glass is very clear time will tell when mounted on CF. still with 30year warranty who cares.

From rcollection - the early ZA? models few years back, had the Comfort Lifetime Warranty, subsequently the EU reduced warranties to 10yrs.........so would be worth checking (and registering). A few problem ones were replaced for next models up under warranty.

If indeed 30yrs from registration, shouldnt matter where they are made for that price!

iv'e sent mine back got a full refund reason tried to register the extended warranty with minox ZL3 models not available in the drop down box menu. plus no serial number on the scope to add to there registration platform still was a nice scope for the money perhaps buyers regret.

Resurrecting the topic. I am slowly looking at some budget optics and noticed the scope is back for 129£

I bought one at time of original offer but a 50 - it’s been on my 6.5x55SE, .17 hmr and currently my .22 stutzen - 4 years of faultless service including matched with a Pard 007 - a great scope and a steal at that price!
