Leaving - days to go

Maybe the lorry queue at dover has focused the minds to increase the presure what would maggie Thatcher would have made of all this.

Allegedly e,u wanted us to have 25%of our fishing rights around Britain bojo wanted 60 but the expected compromise is 35 %.
So he,s given away 65% of our fishing rights to the eurocrats that destroyed our fishing fleet and didn't give a fnuck.
Hopefully we can get on with our new trade deals whilst they can Carry on obeying auntie Merkel

This is the draft 'deal'
At a glance it doesnt seem as bad as we feared , what say you ?

just watched the lunchtime news apparently they are still squabbling so not yet done and dusted.

The squabbling is still over fishing quotas , but I hear its UK 66 / 33 EU split at the moment , which isnt terrible.
"The Devils in the detail" all 2000 pages of it !
Obviously this is a rough condensation of it, but it shows a deal is actually possible.
Personally, Id have liked to see how we handled WTO terms, I think after a few years it could have been good, but we dont really have the will to take risks right now.

BBC just announcing that a deal is done.
Fishing was the last sticking point so, as someone who lives in NE Scotland where fishing is a big deal, I'm interested to see what they have thrashed out.
Apparently the entire deal runs to around 2000 pages - a little light reading for the insomniacs over Xmas?

Cheers

Bruce

Watching the French presser and it doesn’t sound like it will be a good deal for them.

All they keep banging on about is safe guarding the EU, stoping UK reneging on the deal, access to largest single market rules , EU in position of strength due to size etc etc etc suspect Boris has bent us all over.

The bits that might be considered a good deal for the UK, will be considered a bad deal for the EU - and vice versa.
There are no winners in this process - only degrees of losing out.

Cheers

Bruce
A true compromise is when you win and the other side thinks it's a draw.
