Wanted: Syndicate or permission more or less anywhere but Scotland!

Hi Simon. I have a space for 1 rifle in roe deer syndicate in Northumberland
1000 acres £1300.00 per annum.
Regards.
Craig.

According to Jammy Krankie, Scotland is getting to be an even more distant prospect; imagine the paperwork should you want to take a carcass back South: cert of origin, metallurgical content report, customs & Excise, import licence, bio hazard stop-check/report/fee, border maintenance levy, I think she's minded to be calling it the Sassenach tax, all funded from central findings, which, er, originate, er, - ooh - is that the time already?? 😳

I believe it was the crowd with the bad rep before mark from A1 took on the organisation of it
Seen them advertise many times both under the old "shooting.sh" name and the new A1.
I really don't think it's for me. I'm not questioning the scruples of the owner, but I have consistently failed to get my head around the way some of it works with the subsidised/refunded fees, etc.
Plus the "open access" areas are potentially getting hammered by an undisclosed number of other members.

I'd sooner join a "normal" syndicate where you know who the other members are, how many of them there are, etc.

Yeah I’m sure it’s not for everyone, but works well for others.
Anywhere can get hammered, like the syndicates that take paying guests out on the ground, or the ones that have had a massive cull a few yr earlier, it’s a nightmare working out what’s good and what’s not

Yes indeed. I've literally just been offered a place on a deer and vermin syndicate a little over an hour away. Sounded great, 350 acres, couple of flight ponds too... Well I scoped it out on Google maps, it's mostly enormous, flat arable fields with thin margins, no woods to speak of, and the vendor said "15-20" other members on there .

No ta.

Exactly the same. The "refund from HQ" concept seemed baffling and the newsletters wouldn't have won any prizes from the Plain English Campaign.

Personally I found it easy to understand, pay £750 and have access to some farms free, go to any of the guided ground and pay a stalk fee, a set amount can be claimed back, what’s not to understand

It struck me today that since I took up stalking this has been my worst year. One excellent and very memorable Scottish stag, and nothing else!
I know I'm in a big crowd of people looking for an affordable syndicate "South of the border" but of course if you don't ask then you never know! I'm Midlands based and would travel more or less anywhere. Unfortunately I just can't manage the distance/time needed to make a Scottish lease worthwhile.
Anyone who has anything to offer please PM.
Have you tried A1 decoy he advertises on here. He seems to have land all over. I've no experience of his operation bit it looks like a you pay a yearly fee and in return get lots of land BUT looks like some land is discounts on accompanied stalks others are unaccompanied but you may need dsc2. Maybe some other guys on here could give an honest review by PM. Whatever you do steer clear of Jim Ives at Rough Hey Shoot Macclesfield.
Good luck.

Just bumping this. You never know!
