Following on from last nights missed opportunity

Ian and I went back tonight for another look. No fog about, nice and clear. Set the 'FOX PRO' (thats for you Martin :) ) caller up near to a baited area. Within 30 mins we had a set of eyes coming through the thick swamp area pretty quick. It stopped at apx 200 yards but kept popping up above the long grass and then back down again. Finally he stopped still long enough to confirm it was a fox and take the shot. The 95g VMAX Dropped it on the spot. It was on very large(just had a look at some previous pics of large foxes and this is about the biggest ibe shot, think I should have weighed him) very well fed dog fox, stunning actually (pics to follow). I know thefarmer is going to be a very happy man. Not had anyone shooting on th land for 5 years an has lost lots of lambs in that time.

Fox weighed in at 19lb
Will be back for the rest soon.:thumb:
