Just a question, do you use woodwool and clay, or manakin, looks good which ever

Hi, Taff - I use both. It depends on the size of the deer and whether a suitable sized manakin is available. I also use wood wool to add features to the form that might be missing, and is desirable for a nice mount. Strange as it may seem, often a small Red stag for instance, will cost more to produce as it has to be made from the skull and building all the features. Bill

super looking job .i shot a good stag last november and would like to mount him on a shield but one a bit speciel a bit like those european carved ones any ideas where i could get one .wish i had caped him and sent him to you now !

Thanks norma 308 - can't think of a supplier in the UK for that type of shield. McKenzie in USA supplies them. Cograts on your good stag. Bill.

I must say another beautifull mount,can you get better i dont think, great eye detail,nose ,ears etc,hard act to beat,
