Went from top spec Amarok to top spec ranger. Amarok is like a car to drive. Take some good boots or wellies though. You’re better off on foot off road with the Amarok. Useless off road, even with diff lock.
can’t knock the wildtrak. 3.2 engine version, 18 plate. Slight criticism is that the interior smells of plastic, to the point you can taste it when brand new.
The biggest selling point for me with the ford is the heated windscreen! It’s the only pickup with it.
Mine is quite modified and runs 285/70 R17 STT Pro’s. Not the quietest tyre, but very capable. Driven to and up the alps. No dramas. The Amarok was a bit more comfortable running AT2’s.
MPG was similar in both. Amarok was 32 mpg I think. The ranger is 30 ish.
I was tempted by the Arctic trucks navara with front and rear diff, that would be proper bit of kit. Couldnt face scraping the windscreen though
