Which One Is Your Cabinet Mistress?

With my rifles I take a somewhat Marquess of Bath approach - in the cabinet sit all the wifelets ;). I would hate to pick just one.

But there is only one rifle that could do it all - the R8 .375H&H. Relatively short barrelled, capable of good grouping using the adjustable open sights, easy to reload, easy to shoot, easy to carry, compact [strip down] to carry in small gun case.

It has travelled with me to Africa twice and proven itself to be appropriate/effective on both medium [hartbeest] and large game [buffalo].

Some good replies and lovely wife-material on here, fellas. I'm stumped by The K's comment about them living in the same cabinet. I guess, though, that the wifle and mistresses have to just learn to get along.

I think maybe that the original premise was flawed. You can't just have one gun. Or rather, having too many guns is like having too much money - a nice problem to have.

I'm a bit rough and ready and not too concerned about looks when it comes to rifles, for me they are a tool to do a job but I suppose everyone has a favorite and truth be told out of the three I have I do tend to be a small bit more careful with the Howa .270
