If you want to know why Sturgeon is making such a fuss at the moment, take a look at this:
Bare in mind that this is his sworn court evidence, so if he is shown to be lying he will have committed perjury. Salmond is due in front of the Holyrood inquiry team soon (can't remember the exact date) so expect maximum deflection very soon. If the evidence from Craig Murray is true, it shows that there is huge corruption at the heart of the SNP, civil service and crown prosecution team.![]()
My Sworn Evidence on the Sturgeon Affair - Craig Murray
UPDATED In addition to the substantial and very careful redactions made before publication, I have now made six more specific redactions at the request of the Crown Office, which is very agitated. I do not think this prevents the publication of these affidavits from still being useful. I swore...www.craigmurray.org.uk
As for MacAskill, Sturgeon is throwing him under the bus. He is a Salmond loyalist and is openly criticising Sturgeon, so she has ordered more details of what he has been up to (as reported today). I doubt that she will cut him the same slack as she did with Covid Margaret (Ferrier)
I had a look on social media and a number of followers of that Cabal are dismissing these claims by Craig Murray and Alex Salnond as a Unionist attempt to smear the SNP leadership! If you want to know why Sturgeon is making such a fuss at the moment, take a look at this:

For those who do not wish to take the time to read the link (although I feel you should, it's explosive stuff), it indicates that Salmond was framed in a plot involving several high profile SNP members, the civil service and the CPS. They tried to frame someone on sex charges, and had he been convicted there is every likelihood that he would have spent the rest of his days in prison.
On the other side of the fence, apparently Sturgeon is in the pocket of MI5 and has been planted to stop independence ever happening. She is also a unionist, according to those headbangers. I have seen some pretty extreme theories regarding why the mainstream press have not published anything regarding what Craig Murray has said - apparently all of them are also unionists and in the pocket of the British establishment, and they are wanting Sturgeon to remain in place to further harm their dreams of an indy utopia.I had a look on social media and a number of followers of that Cabal are dismissing these claims by Craig Murray and Alex Salnond as a Unionist attempt to smear the SNP leadership!
Murray and Salmond, Unionist?
You couldn't make it up.
The Navy is sorted. We have a ship. And let's not the forget the Defence implications. I believe there is not a separate Scottish Army, Navy or Air Force..............Interesting to see how that would play out!
Agreed - well written post.Yet another example of grievance politics we have had for years up here...... the flag waving morons who cheer for her will lap it up as they haven't the brains to see there is no substance behind the hype. The BBC and STV are so craven to the SNP that this will be repeated endlessly and without question. She's desperate not to talk about what her and her husband knew about Salmond as one or both have been lying to the Holyrood "parliament" about her predecessor, she's also desperate not to talk about the financial mismanagement of the country and the destruction of what used to be a fairly good education system. Sadly her only election ploy is now "I'm not Boris, so I'm much better than him.....".
Well if Scotland wants to be an independent country they will need to have to face up to what nationality means - and citizenship. It's entirely obvious that to the stereotypical SNP headbanger this is an unwelcomingly difficult idea to grasp, so best denied. However, Scotland would have to conform to international norms in relation to nationality and citizenship - presuming that independent Scotland was planning to be a democracy rather than a pariah dictatorship. Especially if Scotland would want to join the EU, they will find they have to treat the concepts of citizenship and nationality seriously. It's very simple - if you want to vote in another Scottish independence referendum - then live in Scotland and be on the electoral roll.
All our elections are based on residency not birth place.
So, is it your position that only people who are Scottish by birth, reside within the UK, but outwith Scotland, who should be allowed to vote, or should anyone born in Scotland but now living anywhere else in the world be allowed to vote.
Also, how long should someone born in Scotland, but no longer resident in Scotland have lived in Scotland before they are allowed to vote in a Scottish referendum
Finally, given your argument, will you return to your birth place for the next census ?
Cheers
Bruce
Not if you ask her about any of the consequences of independence - like how will they have a currency, she doesn't!I kinda like the wee Kranky, she gives a straight answer to a straight question. I might not like her politics, but at least I know what they are.
Easy. The Holywood PR department which will need far more staff than that to explain why the SNP is making such a fukcing abortion, rather than proud success, out of their newly independent country.Wee krank has always said if she wins independence for Scotland the nukes are shut down. Where the Heck is the mad woman going to find 6,500 jobs when all those submarines move to Portsmouth or Chatham?
And I get the feeling when she realises what she's done wrong it will England,s fault for being spiteful![]()
Nor do I, presumably Scottish pound or Euro? Not if you ask her about any of the consequences of independence - like how will they have a currency, she doesn't!
And (presumably having started at parity), that Scottish Pound would be worth how much within about an hour of its launch? Sixpence?Nor do I, presumably Scottish pound or Euro?
