Uk legal EDC ...what’s yours?

TBS Boar folder.

Extremely useful.

Contrary to the above, I find it very versatile. You can do most minor bushcraft tasks with it - pretty much anything short of batoning.

It will easily gralloch a roe deer, and remove head and legs as easily as a bigger knife.

I am completely sold on the idea of an EDC folder, after being very sceptical until recently.

Don’t have one. Anything “legal” means non locking, cannot stand knives without a locking blade or fixed blade. Plus to be legal in terms of blade length makes them nigh on useless unless all you want it for is opening letters and cutting string.

Maybe you should look again. As for non locking have a look at a Lansky world legal. Non locking, but not as we know it captain lol.

Had a crkt self sharpening job that was OK until it was borrowed/destroyed by a friend sea fishing so have been looking at a boker plus atlas as a replacement.

Probably not needed as also have a SOG keytron that has proven very useful.

Yale front door key. Worn pretty sharp now. Also opens front door.
Anything it won’t cut I swear at a bit before going to find a knife.
I have tried to gralloch with one (after leaving my knife in the car).

Got there in the end, but left wondering what the better options were for improvised gralloch tools! Answers on a post card...

Try a Banham key. They are precision engineered.

Wenger Soldat Alox, made in 2005, (date stamped on blade) the then issue Swiss army knife until 2008. 2 layers, much chunkier blade and screwdriver/cap lifter than most Victorinox models, with a wire bail for the civilian market.
