Hi

Just wondering what rest are being used to shoot from the drivers side window that’s quite comfy, I’ve been doing a lot of rabbiting on foot since lock down as my shooting buddy obviously can’t be in the same vehicle.
I could do with covering more ground & quicker, hence the need for a suitable rest.

Cheers in advance

I shoot from two vehicles , one is my work van ,loads of room and can use pipe lagging on the window, not 4 wheel drive so limited as to were I can go, the other is a discovery, no room whatsoever, window is to close to use so I’ve made a rest that is about 6in out from the window but still not much room to move the rifle so mostly use bipod on the bonnet

I used to have half a Zimmer frame.
It hung off the top of the door and rested on the mirror. Gave a very wide range of movement.
I don’t recall what happened to it. If you have a care home nearby you might be able to get one. The one I got mine from said they couldn’t return them to the trust’s and the scrap men wouldn’t take them.

Mate has one with a foot of steel tube covered in pipe lagging on a small frame. Welded to clip over the Landy wing mirror as a unit. The length of tube gives a great field of view, I make do with a cushion on mirror.
