I was out exploring the Maramureș and Rodna mountains a couple of summers ago - was ever hopeful of wolf and bear sightings but sadly saw nothing Somehow a more exciting prospect in the snow.

Maramureș county is beautiful , the biggest difference i notice is how quiet it is when hunting, ie theres no planes going over and no bypass or motorway in the back ground !

I bet. I was amazed by the way of life in the more remote areas. Plan to go back when we can move again - hadn't thought about using hunting as a reason...
