Name a more likeable musician/celebrity and I'll eat my hat!

Funded CV-19 vaccine research, her imagination library is helping kids to read, turned down the offer of a statue in her honour.

Considering that she has been so successful and appeals to a wide range of people, whether they are from the Conservative heartland of America (OK, Tenesse is a little south of the Midwest) or Liberal California.

Good to see someone who keeps their feet on the ground too, unlike some recent prima donna's!

I'm with you matey, she's fantastic. My mates used to laugh at me for blasting out dolly on the CD player in the truck an singing along

I loved that line she used, “it cost a lot of money to look this cheap” priceless.

Interesting as she always recalls the town tramp as her fashion inspiration!

For someone who was born with nothing to her name she has made a lot of people's lives better.

Very early supporter of LGBT before everyone jumped on the bandwagon.

I imagine she is a very cool aunt!

She would have made the best page 3 ever EVER,

She is an amazingly talented singer, and really like her music.

I’m fairly sure between Dolly and the BeeGees probably a huge proportion of any song deemed a classic came from them! Multi faceted, legend.

When I was in my 20’s a group of folk singers used to come to Ingleton every year and went on a pub crawl (probably best description) for the weekend.
One of the songs I remember was about the wonders of the world. The chorus was “but most of all I’d like to see Dolly Parton’s assets (rhymes with hits)
I watched her set at Glastonbury (on tv), she had an audience with probably the widest age range, all singing their hearts out.

Don't imagine many other famous musicians be willing to do that!
She's fairly unique alright with being so down to earth, hugely successful business woman too outside of music.

I've seen a lot of famous people in the local pubs but no matter who they are they're always left enjoy their privacy unless they want to mix and chat. The locals themselves can be fairly entertaining too when the craic is good.
