Muslim beginner looking to getting into hunting!

Being Muslim I would like to talk to other Muslim hunters or people who are friends with Muslim hunters so that I could get a better understanding on the religious aspects of hunting etc.

Is it actually that hard for people to grasp that the only reason they've mentioned they're Muslim is because it may (or infact, does) impact how they go about shooting deer.

The persons faith is completely relevant to the topic of staking, as it directly impacts how and what they may shoot. Not really that strange to mention at all.

One thing that it seems some have missed on here is that, someone who is particularly devout in their beliefs, whatever religion they are forms a big part of their identity. Also given the explicit ask around talking through the hunting/faith aspects and how they can go together seems a fundamental aspect of the OP's need to know to build the foundations for getting into hunting.
regardless on if this is a troll or not, unless we know for sure, we should be welcoming them to the forum and hunting community not badgering or calling them out.
So I reiterate my welcome to the site, and while we can be a rough around the edge bunch I hope you feel welcomed and will engage with us

I’m from Bristol and have been interested in nature for a really long time, fishing etc. Over the last year I have been interested in hunting and going about learning, however I am a complete beginner so I have no clue.

Being Muslim I would like to talk to other Muslim hunters or people who are friends with Muslim hunters so that I could get a better understanding on the religious aspects of hunting etc.

I have had a bad year with depression and just not been myself. So I’ve finally decided to try and follow my passions rather then just to say oh maybe some other time etc. I’m looking to discover my passion and hopefully you guys can help.

If anyone wants to help me to find the right way to getting into hunting I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

A bit different from most of thd introductions but I for one can understand why he mentioned he is Muslim as he said he
is looking to make contact with other Muslim hunters to better understand how hunting and his religion interact.
Whats wrong with that!
If the 0P is reading this my sister married a Bangladeshi gentleman some fifty years ago so I do have some contact with the Muslim community unfortunatley non of my extended family on that side nor any of their friend to my knowledge are
hunters so I'm unfortunately unable to help.
I do however wish you the very best of luck in your quest.

The Scots are in general a very accommodating bunch and cannot be faulted for their warmth of reception, although their goodbyes can vary depending on the tip you leave

Fair enough. I don't think anyone is offended at all although there's a little scepticism from some, but that's sit rep normal. Congratulate yourself for starting an interesting thread with lots of input from differing people in your first introductory post. This is a site where you can learn and educate and hopefully you will.

Best of luck bud, depression wont help with firearm ownership for sure but there are plenty of places you can enjoy an acompanied stalk & take part in the sport.

No it doesn't. The law does.

But you can abide be the law and maintain true to your faith, they're not mutually exclusive.

E.G. shooting a wild boar would not be Halal as it's technically a pig, but is obviously still legal to do so in the UK.

You have not offended anyone on this site, in my opinion, and don't apologise for your introduction, it's as individual as you. As already said you wil get a lot of help from some genuine folk, who know a vast abundance of information and knowledge of things way above my expertise, again, welcome
