Morning Dr S, my lube (I am a bit uncomfortable about writing that!😳) has not arrived yet, how did you send it please?purchase was Wednesday last week. If it arrives I will let you know immediately. TDP

I’ve got some more supplies but it’s now made with anhydrous lanolin not liquid. I actually used this myself before I got the liquid and it works absolutely fine. It does separate more so you’ll have to give it a decent shake to mix it up before use but I’ve not noticed any issues with doing that!

Photos below to show before and after a vigorous shake:

If people are happy with this then I’ll crack on. It also means more money to the charities as the anhydrous stuff is cheaper than the liquid!
No problem can you send me your banking details
Cheers

Hey all,

Having been inspired by a post on Sniper’s Hide, I thought I’d try my hand at making and selling an isopropyl alcohol / lanolin case lube mixture.

You’ll be getting a 500ml spray bottle with a 10:1 ratio of 99.9% isoproyl alcohol:lanolin. Just give a few squirts over cases inside a plastic bag, roll the cases around and you’re good to go for resizing. Much much quicker than lubing cases individually.

What’s more, you’ll be supporting two very worthy causes with every purchase! £3.50 from each sale will go to Help for Heroes (no explanation needed) and £3.50 will go to Hope For Henry. Henry is the son of a serving soldier (who is a member on here). Unfortunately, Henry has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a degenerative muscle wasting disease. Learn more about Henry here - HOPE FOR HENRY - DEFEAT DUCHENNE, organised by Jo Phillips

For the measly sum of £16.50 posted (compared to £~12 for 150ml of Hornady One Shot before shipping), you can lube cases like never before, knowing that you’re supporting two very worthy causes at the same time. (I’ve also bought as much as possible from Amazon using their ‘Smile’ service which also supports Help for Heroes).

I’ve currently got enough supplies to make t̶e̶n̶ n̶i̶n̶e̶ two more spray bottles - first come, first served.

Cheers!

Dr. S
I make this kind of lube at home, it's fantastic stuff, much better than commercial brands.

Good job you're doing...well done.

Although it will look a bit odd it is cheaper to buy the anhydrous stuff which means more money for charity!

I mix mine up with the liquid lanolin at 12:1 and it works fine, which would make it even more economic....

I also make up the WHO recommended anti-viral hand rub which is remarkably similar...just uses Glycerine, a spot of Peroxide and a bit of water added to 75% Iso Propyl Alcohol...no brainer as I had all the ingredients from sizing lube and skull bleaching when the shops sold out at the start of the pandemic. But for the last few years before Covid I used to give my hands a spray with the lanolin sizing lube every time I passed the reloading bench as a dry skin hand salve!
