The wolf whistle

Don’t hold back just come out with it !.there’s so much wrong with this world to worry about apart from a whistle to a lovely lady who might or might not approve in my book . But then I find that a lot of lady’s like a compliment and even. Like a door Held open for them and a gentle pat on the bum as they walk through the opened door !! Or is it just the lady’s that I know ??🤣
Lucky sod.🤪

I see nothing wrong with paying a woman a compliment , but I find wolf whistling tacky at best , and a bit pervy , it's not much better than grabbing a womans ass as she walks past.
I'm certainly not the woke type , but I do find forcing your whistles onto a woman quite degrading ( unless you know the woman and shes happy having the craic)

I trust those dishing out wolf whistles would be similarly accommodating if it was their own wives or daughters who were the “intended targets”?
In my youth you only whistled at very attractive ladies. My first wife was of that ilk and loved to be acknowledged by a WW. However Lord help the bloke who made any lewd comments as she was quite skilled in two martial arts and not afraid to use them.💃

I have just seen an interview on TV with the Hungarian Prime Minister, he said he is going to hold a referendum regarding a Law the Country has just passed and the EU don't like, the Prime Minister was told, the referendum won't mean anything, if the EU don't like it then what the people say doesn't mean a thing, the Prime Minister then said thats not very democratic is it?, to which he got no answer.
Doesn't this show three things, How lucky we are to have left the EU, and just how anti-democratic the EU is.And just how unimportant we are as citizens.

regarding the "Wolf Whistle", does this mean you can't whistle at all. as it may be construed in the wrong way, so no more "whistle while you work", the 7 dwarfs made redundant.......
and is it OK to whistle at blokes? or if you whistle at both sexes then it can't be sexist can it, equal rights for all......................isn't stopping whistling at women, but allowing whistling at men, Homophobic.
What a confused world we live in......or is it just me confused.

Did I say it was acceptable, did I? I don’t ever, in my life recall wolf whistling..........But “scummy”! Oh, grow up pal.
Okay matey. I just chose to quote your post because it was at the end of a thread of posts making a similar point about people taking offense. I hadn't intended to single you out and if you read what I said, I didn't think you said it was acceptable or not.

I always find a touch of irony when people get offended by people who take offense at something. Not saying I'm not guilty of it too.

I think Scummy is fair. Not sure how that is childish? But if you'd prefer, slimy, pervy, weasely, generally ****ish all fit the bill.

What I would give to have seen a few here being caught on the wrong side of her!

But manners r manners , touch me without me KNOWING you and the way you are personally / banter n the craic etc

And the same will go , your on your arse ,

You don't lay your hands on ANYONE , unless you have too, n being a bully/ **** , doesn't mean it's banter

Lewd n crewed comments the same , that's just disrespectful, n you WILL end up in A n E

We all know the difference between whistling a tune , and a wolf whistle.

When I was a much younger and much fitter doorman , I would quite enjoy the polite female attention , but , when a woman wolf whistled at me , I just thought, tramp !.

If someone wolf whistled at my wife both my wife and I would take it as a compliment.
I don't know what all the fuss is about!

Good for her, but quite clearly some women don’t appreciate it, and find it objectionable at best.

The fact that the person dishing out the wolf whistles isn’t offended by it matters not a jot.

How do you think your wife would react if you spent your time wolf whistling at other women?

Just go and ask your wives what they would make of it.
They will probably lie and say that they’d be offended. But deep down most of them would be pretty pleased with themselves.

In my youth a WW used to be a way of letting a girl know you thought she was pretty, no more.
No girl I knew found it other than a compliment and was received with a grin but if there was more than one, a giggle, or told to 'go away.
It quite often led to the start of a courtship too.

I find that women generally, tend to react with either a disgusted frown, if you had been following her with an admiring gaze, Or a coy look away ...... All depending on her current mood at that particular point in time and space, You just gotta luv em.
