Ah but the thing is John this Astra-Zeneca isn't a vaccine. It is something else.

Which is why my wife....double jabbed with A-Z caught covid in mid October that our eight year old caught and brought back from school (yes I'd have preferred an product of efforts in his art class).

I had covid in February and belive it is that and that alone and not my being double jabbed with A-Z that stopped me getting it. I also have a number of double jabbed work colleagues that also went on to catch covid afterwards.

Vaccines I have no issue with. I had the usual schoolboy TB, measles and, indeed, small pox vaccines. I also have been vaccinated against yellow fever and before my last trip to Nigeria in 2019 against rabies.

So I am not "anti-vax" just doubtful of the bogus science that has been used to promote A-Z. It is little more IMHO that the 2020's equivalent of the equally bogus 1940's "pots and pans for Spitfires" drive.

Aluminium pots and pans aren't aircraft grade aluminium and Astra-Zeneca ain't no vaccine! It's little more than a "feel good" propaganda campaign.

And no I don't give any credence to any claims about invermectin or similar alternative drugs.

12 months worth of global data states you can throw that blanket over the lot of them.

They do give a measure of protection against infection by the early strains of SARS-CoV-2 [now extinct per Sanger data], and they do give [time-limited] protection against serious illness for the dominant delta variant in some cases.

But the sheer scale of AEs and infection breakthroughs associated with all covid vaccines [documented by the governments of the west] suggest that to continue to call them vaccines would be to demean that term as we have previously applied it.

Yes but so far as I am aware, no-one suggested that the vaccines would prevent you from catching the virus - what was said (and has been backed up by the daily Covid figures) was that the vaccines would reduce the effects of Covid and vastly lessen the death rates - I suspect that your vaccinations may have even saved the lives of you and yours.
Some research has suggested that the very best effective protection against Covid (and its derivatives) is to be double jabbed and then to catch the virus.

Just to get things in proportion how many die "from" Covid rather than "with"? How many die within 28 days of a covid jab or for that matter within a similar timescale of seeking help from a medical professional for any reason at all?

No that’s fair enough but come on the amount of 80+ people who have died needs to be talked about in years gone by they would have died off the fact is half of them are only still alive due to regular medical interaction and prescriptions without them they would have died sharpish with our without covid.

A local chap, who has bought several houses from his drug dealing, has just died of Covid aged 58. He had refused to be vaccinated because he didn't trust vaccines. I suppose he had seen what drugs had done to the people he had supplied.

There is something that the vaccinated have in common with the unvaccinated in that neither group will ever be fully vaccinated.

In the queue for booster jab number eleven the ten jabbers will be blaming the eight jabbed who in turn will be blaming the six jabbed and so on down to the never getting jabbed.

In 8-10 years time the EUA (Emergency Use Application) testing phase will end and everyone left will be able to reflect on the results. This is what happens with all experimental drug testing.
