Very Old Munty Buck

I don’t usually post stalking photos on here but thought this old warrior might be of interest. He’s the oldest Munty I’ve seen but I’m by no means a Munty expert and would be interested in opinions on age. Should score strongly too.

Certainly old and a great memory. Sorry, Can’t help with age. I’m not great on munties once they get beyond juvenile

for a more accurate determination I'd suggest examine the teeth🦷

(Congrats on the head 👍 ).
Teeth examined as standard and it’s a very old animal in generic terms. If it was a Roe I would say in the 8-9 year old bracket but I wouldn’t know what the equivalent munty age is.

63.3 CIC points. The left beam scored 34 points alone - shame it wasn’t symmetrical!

In the words of crocodile Dundee, "that's not a ....... this is a ......."

Was shown some photos of a muntjac buck that was in a garden and had to be euthanised a little while ago. The antlers are 16cm, at least twice the thickness of it's pedicles, symmetrical, with normal sizes brow tines. It physically looks twice the size of a gold medal placed along alongside it

Any photos - sounds like a UK record?!!!

I have some photos but would not want to post them as they've been passed onto me. I'm sure they'll emerge. There's a couple of photos of the skull and one taken from a window whilst the animal was alive. I would guess it was hit in a vehicle collision as it looked hunched up and in very poor condition. I think if it was measures, points for medals would be raised :-|

Well hopefully it gets measured as if it’s a potential record it would be pivotal to accurate recording, despite the method of culling/RTA.
