Whatever the truth to this, neither party comes across well. Suspect this may well be largely driven by the relationship with Purdey, and Emberleaf making knives for them now.

I’ve re-studied the initial statement from Emberleaf and the emboldened is indeed telling:

“The Greenman forge as a limited company has only existed since Oct 2017 so filed records are hard to come by. Is the logic really that we saw a shape copied it spent 10s of thousands of pounds on R+D and marketing for us then to try and take legal action against the person we are supposed to have copied it from? We are not a big company, there are 3 of us including the apprentice, we just want to get on and do the job we love, however we have not just our own brand to consider but much larger companies that require us to at least to be seen to be protecting the designs and brand names.”

I’m pretty sure the last time I visited Bisley William Evans, they had the cael for sale with their logo on it

I ordered (and paid for) two knives early in the year from Jeff/Greenman Forge. I chased up a couple of months ago and received a message that he was running behind. The other day I was going to follow up and I found the fb messenger thread had been deleted and the fb page seems to have been taken down. I cannot find a way to contact him. I would be happy to have the knives I ordered or my money refunded. I put a search into this forum to see if I could learn anything and I have rather a sinking feeling reading the recent posts regarding Greenman. Any assistance or information would be appreciated.

His address is out there (and on this thread) a nice letter from a solicitor or a knock on the door perhaps….. and if no joy, hit him where it hurts, he’s a shooting man, dare I say it, if his actions are fraudulent etc and he is taking peoples money, report it to the police.

Hey all was just doing some search and stumbled along this forum as I to ordered a greenman early this year
I messaged jeff about a month ago via WhatsApp and got the same message
Sorry running behind will get it sorted asap ect
Seeing that his sales page has gone
His insta and esty gone
His website has had all information removed is worrying me I was going to wait out a bit longer before getting in touch with him a again but seeing others are haveing issues is worrying.

The other worrying thing is aswell the more I think about it a few weeks before he closed his sales page he auctioned off loads of knives.
I know his auction knives are made to order aswell so that's another bunch of blades that have been paid for and will probably never get delivered

Just submitted my small claims document yesterday (cost me £50!) so I may get nothing back. Looking at the PayPal information I paid Greenman Forge Ltd. rather that Jeff Wiggins so I don’t think I will be able to go after him as an individual; I have done this with someone who tried to rip me off in Ebay successfully. I will keep you posted. Wish I had acted as soon as I started to smell a rat! Let’s all go to his next Greenman Dawn concert!

This is the thing he will get away with it in my case as he had £60 off me so spending £50 to chase £60 isn't worth it

Yep I understand. He’s had £450 off me in good faith.
The jerk who tried to rip me off on Ebay only owed me £30 but was too thick to understand I wouldn’t give up and I happily spent about another £100+ to recover my money. I got it all back because I was in the position to pay for a County Court Judgment and subsequent Warrant . I will do just the same with this guy , the difference is that he may liquidate his poxy Company without any assets having spent our money on his guitar collection. We shall see.

But have other things to spend money on ATM .
Yes it looks like he may have to sell some guitars or forceably have to sell some

He may have got away with it if it was only small sums
But am sure theres more out there like you who have invested 100s into a tool off him
