For a long time , they werent allowed outside, and if you do phone a friend , be careful you dont talk about organising protests, or the cops will come round and arrest you.

263 days. Haven't been able to visit mum in Perth for 650 days now with the locked borders. They are still pursuing an elimination strategy based on the best health advice.
Insane. The common cold is a coronavirus. And so like C19 it is endemic. It mutates readily and is indelibly imprinted in our collective gene pool forever. C19 will never go away. It will never be eliminated. It's not like polio or measles or smallpox which take centuries to change their genome even when allowed to run rampant through the population, and can be stopped in their tracks by mass vaccination.
C19 will endlessly adapt and continue to live amongst us like fleas on a dog. And it will do about as much harm. Virtually everyone on the planet will get C19 and they will continue to get it from time to time throughout their lives, as they do colds.
This is biology at a level children learn in their second year in high school. Why do politicians not understand it?

We are all going to get it eventually . As I said in another post , I've had it twice . Once before the vaccines and again after being fully vaccinated ( omicron ) . I do believe the vaccines saved a lot of lives , unfortunately , there's a large group of people who think that the vaccine will stop them from contracting Covid , it obviously doesn't . I think that's where a lot of the vehement demands for enforced vaccination comes from . I blame the media ( left and right leaning ) for the mixed messaging out there . Covid was never going away , ever . It is going to be around longer than anyone on here , we'd better get used to it .

On a side note , Moderna CEOs are selling off millions in stock . I have followed suit . I have no reason why they're doing it , but I don't want to get stuck holding a burning bag of S**t . I'm sure we'll here something about the reason why in the immediate future , stay tuned .

It seems the outcomes might be more a case of despite ’the science’, rather than because of it, at any rate looked at from both the Market ans the Springbok‘s point of view. A common cold lasts about a week, whether treated or untreated; a pandemic has a finite duration/‘window of opportunity’ too, or so it would seem. The fallout could last a bit longer though.

I watched this video on an investment site , the guest pretty much echoed what most have been saying . I'm glad I got out when I did , I did pretty well on my investment so no complaints .
