Sale of live rabbits

I mind as a kid at school, must of been 16/17ish as vaguely mind the 4th or 5th year cloak rooms.
My mate was always at me to bring some live ferreted rabbits in to school so he could use them for training his greyhounds on.
He always said just stick them in a poly bag with some lettuce/dandelion leaves and they'll be grand till home time and he could take them away on the school bus.
I never did thou even in my dafter younger days had visons of these rabbits escaping inside the school.

Still makes me smile as that lad died at about 20 years old

Hence asking & looking to see if anyone can quote some law as opposed to opinion, there's many learned people on here that can help with these matters.
Call me sceptical if you like but the SD massive tend to bandie half truths mate .Nearly there but open to interpretation with a few masquerading as full time field sports lawyers .You’d be better asking Natural England who are very helpful on all things countryside ,you then have a reference point to quote officially should you be stopped .
I can’t imagine anyone would mind other than a market gardener but stranger things have happened .

Thanks but NE did not have a definitive answer. I work with NE quite closely and work under individual and organisational licences. Trust me they are certainly no all knowing. I have corrected their mistakes on multiple occasions including misrepresenting the law.

Where are you based?

What have they offered you for them if you don’t mind?

Lads local are paying for live wild rabbits to go in the rabbit pen for training.

Gov.Uk has information. Type in export or move live animals. In case you haven’t seen it.
We have a CPH & flock numbers for moving other species, APHA had 0 advice for us and claimed they'd 'get back to us'
ARAMS haven't responded to email and aren't answering their phone
I don't plan on exporting them outside the UK either

if the other party are picking them up then any movement issues or percieved issues are theirs. all your doing is catching them live

Rabbits were brought here by the Romans along with fallow deer and wine. I feel my think they still qualify as an invasive species.

Does the OP really want to be all over the internet as the man who supplies live rabbits that are fed to pythons and whatever else horrors that may be possible?
