Canadian Truckers and How to Deal with Them?

Well they have finally taken the lift mandate to the federal parliament just like those pesky truckers. Big difference is Australia knows how to handle them mandate protesters. They learned from Melbourne and they are going to get shot.

Notice the big fat Sargent. He's not stupid, let the special operation group take the heat for shooting them violent pensioners.

The media reports a thousand or so, mainly aggresive young men creating problems. I'm thinking tens of thousands have had enough.

Well I guess we'll see how they get on when they are met with mace, buttons and rubber bullets. Don't forget the fines and jail time.

A couple of people wanting restrictions lifted. Send in the special operations group. They need to be dealt with.

Let me get this straight....

The truckers cannot be allowed to shut down commerce and harm the economy, so any trucker who honks his horn or participates in any way to protest the useless mask mandates which rulers of Canada do not themselves practice, will have their driver's license revoked, insurance cancelled, bank accounts seized, and maybe be jailed for not violating any actual laws - which will take 70,000 trucks off the road, shutting down commerce and harming the economy.

There has been some confusion , mostly because the foreign press is totally unaware of anything that happens in Canada . The penalties only apply to the trucks that were blocking the Windsor bridge . An Ontario judge has ruled the Ottawa protest legal and it will continue . Trudeau is trying to enact the emergency measures act . So far , Alberta , Saskatchewan , Manitoba and Quebec do not support it . The great divide widens . All over mandates that have been largely dropped in most of Canada . This has become a protest about a out of touch government and public loss of trust in it . If it wasn't so damaging , it would be funny .

I would say that the temporary damage this protest may be causing to the economy is infinitesimally smaller than the damage done to freedom, not just by Canadian authorities but by those in power all around the world. It really heartens me to see people at last taking action by letting the authorities know that their draconian measures will no longer be accepted. I would happily contribute to the truckers living costs if I knew how to do it without the funds getting stolen by the government.

MSN lol . There is no state of emergency , there hasn't been any violence on our news feeds ............. and who is Trump ? Sorry , no one up here really cares one way or another about Trump , we don't get worked up over other countries political figures . The media is desperately trying to turn this into another Jan. 6th , it just isn't . They did stop two guys with a cart taking fuel in this mourning , but apparently that's not lurid enough for mainstream media . It will be over soon though , the provinces are going over Trudeau's head and dropping the restrictions soon anyway . He can come out of hiding now , the mean truckers will be going home soon . Even the media are starting to see what this really was , a protest of the working class . That's what happens when the political left abandons the working stiff and choose to be more concerned about being woke than the conditions that working people are forced to endure .

Well there is now the federal emergency measures have been enacted.
So how do we deal with these truckers who have really inconvenienced hard working stay at home government workers in Ottawa?

Maybe its time to send in the special operations group and the military and start with the elderly, they don't run too fast and don't put up much of a fight.

Yes that is the liberal way for people who don't actually know how their goods get to their tables. The sooner the police start doing their job as directed by the politicians the faster this will be resolved.

Actually , the state of emergency hasn't been enacted yet . Trudeaus cabinet has approved it , but not the provinces . It's also a political minefield for Trudeau . His father brought in the Emergency War Measures act in Quebec in 1970 . It was brought about by the FLQ crisis , some on here will remember it . There were multiple cases of abuse in Quebec by the government , too long a story to get into here . The main thing that came out of it was the Quebec Seperatist movement . A movement that came within 1% of success and the dissolution of Canada . The Quebecois got a severe case of the flash backs and lost their minds yesterday when Trudeau announced his plans . If he keeps up being an idiot , he may be the PM responsible for the break up of this country , which has been very tenuous at best over the last 40 years . Time will tell .

Go fund me tried to steal the money once already . They said they were going to give the money to a charity of their choice , until a judge told them that was grand larceny and made them give the money back . Yesterdays announcement is like most things in government , theatre . They have announced that they can seize funds , but they haven't yet . They may do it in the future , they are getting desperate , but not yet . We'll see .

If it's a federal mandate what say do the provinces have or do they need to ask the feds before the military can move in.

They have a lot of power in regards to the act , and I very much doubt if the military will be involved . First off , it's not necessary , secondly , it would make things far worse , mostly for the government . The Defense Minister said outright that the military would not be involved . Our fearless leader is even more unpopular in military circles than he is with the public . Trudeau is rapidly digging a political hole for himself . Quebec is split down the middle in regards to leaving Canada , troops on the streets of Montreal would probably put them over the edge , and he knows it .

I'm sure the police elite on here would be promoting police intervention and now the Ottawa police chief just resigned.
If we take this up a notch if Trudeau and the political elite believe they have the support lets see where it lands.

There has been an interesting twist today . If the liberal government does start getting heavy handed , there is a very large proportion of the trucking industry that will simply stay home . No protests , no fuel costs and nothing for the police to do . We are chronically short on a lot of things already because of slow downs caused by Covid restrictions , this would have a huge impact across the country . We have about a weeks worth of food in the supply chain at any time , the further north you go , the slimmer the margin . Things could get a bit lean . Hopefully , it doesn't come to that .

There have been a lot of resignations and a lot of very concerned police officers voicing their discomfort over what they are being asked to do . They are people like anyone else and are just as tired of the BS as everyone else .

What would be more poetic than the Canadian Rangers arriving to protect the truckers right to protest and their freedom of expression?

Last time I checked, striking/refusing to work was not an act of violence.

There is a large proportion of Canadian vets at the protest already , they don't like Trudeau either .

The freezing of bank accounts is a very bad step in the wrong direction for civil liberties. Would not at all be surprised to see a tragic incident occur if Castros love child carry’s on with the way he’s going. Utterly disgraceful.
