The Stalking Show @ Staffordshire Show Ground April 2022

Been at the show today. Enjoyed it as did the wife. Not a massive show but enough to interest me. Tried several new scopes/binoculars/thermal scopes. Well impressed with the new Zeiss 10 X 40 SLP binoculars. Not available buy yet but so light and bright.
Well worth the £12 entry fee and it's on again here next year and I suspect it will be larger judging by the numbers here today.

I went today and was very impressed with the trade stands and the goods available. Nice that the stalls were IMV all relevant to the show description and not selling hot tubs and track suits.
Hopefully it will return next year as I thought it was a great opener for a new venture.

We went as it was only 10 minutes from home. I thought it was a nice show, it was refreshing to see a show that had some focus. 90% or more of the stands were stalking / shooting related. It seemed well attended and there wasn’t a wicker basket or stuffed toy to be seen!

I treated myself to one of Ogdens new Autoslips, a great bit of kit to hold a rifle safely and discreetly behind the seats of the truck.

Just got back and have to say what a great show it was, impressed by the live carcass butchery demonstration whilst tucking into a venison burger, as you do! echo sentiment of Wsm not the largest of shows but what was there was pertinent to stalking / shooting without the tat apart from the shoe shine stand?? I have to say for £12 (pre-paid) it was a toughly good show, I took the time to talk to the majority of the stands who also seemed to think it was worth while attending. WELL DONE ORGANISERS - we'll have a bit more of that next year...

Great show and as said, relevant stands. Disappointed that I couldn't buy a pair of Swarovski NL's from any stand. No stock of the 10x32 which seems mad as Swarovski had a big stand but could only point you to the dealers who were there.

I love shows like this focused on on the subject and not too big. Managed to buy what I wanted and got optics warehouse to pay my entrance fee with a discount. Charlie Jacoby was on good form and Jose Couto gave a good demo on venison butchery amongst others.
Big well done to the organisers, my new favourite show.

Shame I couldn't make it.
Did anyone bump into my midget stalker lass? I believe she was there with her FC colleagues.

just got back, and have to say the long haired general and i were impressed. vast majority of the stands were accurately aimed at stalkers. managed to grab a couple of bits i wanted and at 12 quid i did not feel it as excessive. (to put that in perspective, 3 1/2 hours of looking about, chatting and watching a decent deer butchery demo for the same price as a 100 minute film at the cinema)
a big thank you to the organisers and we will be there next year!

shooting show - no thanks
game fair - as long as its free for BASC members

Good to hear some positive recommendations for this show.

If I hadn't been stalking on Thursday in Wiltshire, clay pigeon shooting yesterday in Kent and planting hedges on the game shoot in Oxfordshire today, I may have considered going.

Maybe I should sort my diary out for next year.

I got one as well; what a brilliant bit of kit! Ogdens "Autoslip" in car gun carrying case

Also topped up on Fox Classic Hunter non-lead ammo. They seemed to be doing a roaring trade.,
