I was being generous and overly optimistic lol,lol , judging by the amount of writeups, it's probably more like 37 ,As many as that?
There are not 27,000 guides to go around...With 27337 forum members on here they should be.

Just had a study of the write ups mate and your name is sadly missing tooI was being generous and overly optimistic lol,lol , judging by the amount of writeups, it's probably more like 37 ,

The friend I hunt with when I'm back in the UK shoots a large number of deer every year . I won't mention how many as there are a lot of arm chair stalkers who will say it's not possible and it's not what he does for a living. He gets rid of all the carcasses. He may not get much for them but nothing goes to waste. For those who have yet to acquire permission to shoot deer it may be worth mentioning that knocking them over is the easy-peasy part. What you then do with a pile of fallow is something I seriously suggest giving advance and considered thought to.

I'm starting to bore myself saying this: it is time to stop shooting fallow bucks during the doe season. The last couple of times Ive been back hunting in the UK it struck me that the fallow population in the south of England could do with a 50% cull and muntjac population a severe cull. Don't think there is going to be a shortage of deer any time soon.

To many excuses and not enough deer culled. Do people whine, moan and grizzle in other pastimes as much as they do in the deer stalking world?
There is a lot more to taking people out, often the permission is to that farms stalker with a letter to say they have permission for xyz NOT to invite a second person who may or may not have a rifle just as someone is asking to go out.People are willing but are unable to get the permission to shoot them despite all the knocking and asking.
Yes I know other shooters are wary of taking other's out as many have been back stabbed and crapped on .
But we must keep on asking if any one needs any shooting done.
All of my written permissions have ‘may/may not be accompanied by an armed guest’ so the landowner can delete as appropriate when you get the permission sorted. Keeps things simple that way. There is a lot more to taking people out, often the permission is to that farms stalker with a letter to say they have permission for xyz NOT to invite a second person who may or may not have a rifle just as someone is asking to go out.
I have only one written permission which covers me for both deer and pigeons/ducks
The others are written for deer others verbal for deer/foxes/pigeons
When I take someone out pigeon shooting I call the farmer saying I need to take a second person to cover a second spot...
I bet good money that most of the invites will fall apart if there was an issue over who actually can be there as
most farmers/landowners are to busy and won't wont to be bothered by the person who has the permission.
That’s fine as long as they are happy to take in the skin and deal with the carcass from there. If your shoot 4 or 5 in a morning then processing to give away to friends is going to wear a little thin….There is no need to waste unless contaminated who does not give to other's to enjoy or for pet food.
Genuine question, but what will that achieve, other than meaning more bucks need culled during the buck season, when they are more difficult to stalk and the meat is less palatable?I'm starting to bore myself saying this: it is time to stop shooting fallow bucks during the doe season.
