Very nice
Thank you,

They were made sometime through the 70's by my parents, when they worked together in, what was, our Stag Works workshop, before we even moved to Portland Works so definitely pre 1980.

They were made white label for a big Sheffield company called George Ibberson, they held the 'Double Sharp' trademark at that time.

The resemblance of that bottom knife there to all the knives mentioned in this thread is startling.

These, I suppose, were the forerunners to the Pat Mitchell range of knives.

I once owned a ibberson admiral knife, better known as ibby a great knife, found on the Brecon Beacons when fox hunting a fox had chewed the sheath.
The shape of the third knife goes to show how knife users and designers without knowing it can come up with the same design.

Genuine question, (asking for a friend) but who owns a shape? Do the ancient Egyptians have the IP on triangles? Should Toblerone be quaking in their boots for fear of King Tut coming knocking for recompense? Really can’t see how a shape can be anyones. But hey ho.

Must be before “anal tunnelling” became so popular.
